The SD-WAN engineer will actively lead complex network, security, and collaboration design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects. You will solve complex, multi-functional technical issues that cross boundaries over many disparate products technologies.

Responsibilities

As an SD-WAN consulting engineer, you will work intimately with your customer to plan, engineer, implement and optimize SD-WAN solution.

You will deeply understand your customer's requirements and be able to translate them into successful outcomes.

You will encounter highly complex technical problems - these will require you to collaborate with your manager, the product development teams, technical support, and the account team to advocate for and resolve your customer's issues.

You will develop SD-WAN topologies, policies, network services, and application-aware routing in a highly secure environment. Understanding SD-WAN software life cycle and balancing network stability against new features - i.e. understanding customer impact - will be key to a successful deployment.

You’ll be working with a team of high performing engineers and architects developing and deploying leading solutions and architectures to customers - along with cutting edge services.

About You 

Essential Skills on Carrier Ethernet/Metro Ethernet Design/Integration/Implementation with hands-on experience on Cisco, Juniper will be required.
Experience Implementing /Supporting Layer 2 implementation of Metro-Ethernet services on a hybrid network comprising of Cisco ASR9K/7609's, Juniper M/T/MX- Series will be key.
Experience with implementation of VPLS (Metro Ethernet) and VPRN services, QoS on above Cisco / Juniper platforms is desirable.
Working knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, IPv6, Multicast is a must.
Deep Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of routers and switches.

Typical Deliverables includes but not limited to- customer audits, config translations & features; Automated/Scripted discovery audit & data validation of connected/end devices; Optional Lab testing / validation services for service/feature interop.
On-site or Remote migration support ; High-level methodologies, MOP generation & As-Built documentation; Phased approach starting with 8-10 chassis –controlled, validated & careful migration is critical; Fully audit & own configuration translations services & ensure service readiness for migrations.
Must have good technical writing skills and have experience in writing high test and implementation / Migration plans.
Certifications and knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel/Lucent, Huawei) a definite plus.
A good communications skill is a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels.
Skills and experience in working independently, determining methods and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and team work skills.
